Well it's actually 2010, can't believe where the last 10 years went. I remember it like it was yesterday watching the millenium fireworks over the City of Manchester Stadium. Time goes so quick.
I had a nice intimate New Years with just my girlfriend, and a little buffet. We enjoyed watching the fireworks together, and the traditional Jools Holland Hootananny on BBC. It was a great way to see in the new year.
As for trading, I had a quick look at the charts again on new years eve just to get up to date with things. Still no trading for me, and obviously the markets were closed yesterday for new years day. So it will be back to it next week again. A new year, and new start. Monday in the UK is a bank holiday, so I won't be trading that as I don't see any major action happening as it's a new years spill over holiday, so Tuesday will be my first day back.
I use Alpari as my broker at the moment, with Meta Trader 4 as my trading platform. The only gripe I have with Meta Trader is the order management. It isn't really that efficient for my style of scaling out trading, so I've been looking at GFT over the last couple of days. I opened a demo account with them yesterday, so I'll be doing some forward testing with them the next few weeks, and hopefully doing some manual back testing.
That's all to report for now.
Happy New Year everyone, and good trading.
