The Start of 2010 trading

Well today is the first day of the 2010 trading year for me, and.....I'm having all sorts of problems with my chats. I use Alpari as my broker, and MetaTrader4 as my trading platform. I've never really had too much to complain about on either of them, but this morning the 4HR charts will not load on GBPJPY & EURJPY, which is annoying as those are the timeframes I trade off, and typical, those are the 2 pairs that have set up trades this morning.

I have managed to place a limit order on GBPJPY and a stop order to buy on EURJPY which has just been filled, but I have only managed to do this with my new demo account with GFT which I'm trailing at the moment.

Lucky it's only a demo account, as I messed the order entry up for EURJPY, and 2/3rds of the trade closed waaaaay to early.

I've been used to just placing stop or limit order through MetaTrader, but as I trade 3 lots and scale out as the trade develops, I was looking for a platform that allowed more flexibility in how I place the orders. Hence GFT. I can place 1 order, but do it as OCO or parent and contingent orders, which ultimately is far better, but I have to get used to it.

Fingers crossed that MetaTrader books it's ideas up though.
